Our Rates

Below are the rates of charge to have a radio service carried on South of the River Digital. These relate to our standard capacity levels of 40kbps/30 capacity units. Our standard capacity level is comparable with FM audio quality. Other capacity levels are priced on application (P.O.A.) and subject to availability. Community Radio stations which qualify for and are in receipt of an Ofcom

C-DSP licence will be charged carriage fees at a heavily subsidised rate. We intend to reserve enough capacity to carry nine community, not for profit, radio stations on the South of the River Digital radio multiplex.

Our Application Process

We welcome fresh applications from radio services seeking to broadcast on DAB.

The overall spectrum constraints means that space on this multiplex is finite. New radio services are welcome, subject to available capacity.

In seeking to ensure that radio services are selected in a fair way, we have set out below how we will determine which services we will carry initially.

South of the River Digital operates a selection process based on the assessment of completed application forms we receive by the due date.
